Unbelievable accommodations. A best-value experience in so many ways. The staff is exceptional.
Not a fan of this hotel. The sheets were dirty the first night (so who knows what else wasn't cleaned properly), the muffins with the complementary breakfast were hard and stale, no where to hang up your coat or anything up in the room, and it took literally 10 minutes for the shower water to warm up on a Saturday morning.
Pleasant surroundings (despite non-stop traffic on Chelmsford St.), and the hotel was attractive and welcoming. And the best complementary breakfast I've ever encountered. Not to be missed!
I told my Aunt to stay here cause I live 5 minutes away and we have a big family event this weekend. I helped her in her room last night and was shocked. No one had mopped the floor and was so filthy it might have been a few times in between guest stays. Then the shower was just as bad and a large crusty spot on the bed runner. She called the front desk and asked if someone could help with the shower and the floor so she could shower. They said they would send someone right down. A hour later called back and a guy named Steven told her it was just a construction stain in the shower and no one was coming. We went and looked and there was a line of glue on the shower wall but the rest of the shower and floor was just plain dirt. We called back and asked them to please come look, it’s really bad. The night “house keeper” came with a spray bottle and a hand towel TO CLEAN A SHOWER AND FLOOR. She was sweet and tried in the shower but said she didn’t have anything else to clean with and couldn’t get it clean. The young guy in charge last night came and agreed it was really bad in the room but couldn’t help us and could just report it in the morning. I’m just shocked that a hotel doesn’t give their night staff a proper housekeeping cart with scrub brushes and mops it was something that should have been no problem to fix... so weird. I feel terrible now cause I have 4 more family members flying up and staying there.
Best Western Plus Chelmsford is a place that I would recommend for singles, couples, families, friends, special occasions or like me, a person over the road. I frequent this hotel and there's so many great things, from the amenities, the breakfast, the professionalism of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the hotel, the list goes on. If you're in the area and looking for a place to rest or have a good time, Best Western Chelmsford is number one.
